This bike has been diligently and professionally serviced. It came back from its 84000km service today. I asked my mechanic to check everything and tell me if, for example, the motor needed attention. "It's ready to go another 83000km", he said. Oil consumption is sometimes a bit confusing on the XT600e and they're often over-filled. I sometimes think it's using oil but there's no sign of smoke from the exhaust. The top end, barrels and rings were done at about 50k km.
This is a good, solid bike which I find more comfortable, both on the open road and on the tricky stuff, than my DR650.

Performance exhaust which gives it a bit more vooma (and noise).
Original tank.
Last year, I rode this bike 1000km in one day, and still had time to spend an hour with my grandchildren on the way!
I'd confidently set off to ride across the country on it.
