Finally got tired of waiting for a certain person to pass on, so decided to just go for it and do an investigative trip through Zimbabwe. Not interested in the main roads, want to see if the back roads and tracks are still there and in what condition. Have a route, which is really a basis to vary from. :mwink: Through Botswana to Plumtree, then through the bush to Gwaai along railwayline to Hwangie, Vic Falls, south bank of Kariba to Kariba. Kariba on tar to Karoi. Karoi to near Kanyemba then down to Harare. Harare to Mtoko to Inyanga, Mutare, Chiredzi, Gonarazoo, Beit Bridge and back to JHB. Plan is 70 - 80% dirt, bush camp 2 nights then commercial camp 1 night etc. There are four sections where fuel will have to be carried. Participants are self and Straathond, 1200GS and TA700. Any advice or suggestions welcome. :peepwall:
