ZIM EASTERN HIGHLANDS ROUTE

I'm planning a trip through Zims to Malawi then Moz and back home to JHB in June.

Am wanting to spend ± 3 days traveling through Zim Eastern Highlands up to the Zim/Border post at Nyampanda.

Does anyone have a good route through the Eastern Highlands and can recommend cheapish places to stay, lodges or camping ?

Any advice would be appreciated.
