Just a note for those who still need to get their licenses. I've got a year left on my learners, and decided to book the test now already since I thought it might take months to get an appointment.
Surprise surprise - I booked this morning, and the test date is for the 16th October. That's less than two weeks, pretty amazing, IMO. And this is in the Centurion area, the one that is supposed to be worst of them all.
Taking into account that the telephone call to the service center was easy enough, and I only had to stand in the queue for one hour to pay for the reservation, I don't think it's too bad.
Now all I need to do is pass that test.
