Saw a guy on a 1200GS standing and riding on the Krugersdorp highway on my way home this afternoon... WTF is up with that?  :imaposer:

IMO you should approach someone technical at BMW, the gearbox set-up could be different to a conventional gearbox/engine and gearbox in one.
On my 1150GSA I always used the clutch, but on my 1100GS I used to occasionally shift without a clutch, but I used to time it right. There is an art to clutchless shifting, and it can be done on the 1200, I'm just not sure if it will damage the gearbox.
