Ok the figures are in ! Filled her up on the 18th to go travel some gravel (ride report will follow as soon as I get some time)

14.060 litres @R8.11 =R114.03

197.7km

=14.08km/l

Thats rather heavy but I was belting her along at 170km/h for a long stretch and did not drop below 140km/h all the way from Barkly East to Elliot.

Will fill her up on sunday to get the figures for my gravel stint, then tar to Maclear and tar back to Elliot !

Will keep you all posted !

Not sure how long the bike stood! I do have a service planned for the end of the month when pay day arrives !  :thumleft:

Oil still looks good but I`m sure that the air filter needs a wash ! I have some filter oil on order!

The service will include oil, oil filter, fuel filter and plugs and air filter  !

Will do a tech day of it with photos  :biggrin:

fuel filter, dont think it has one. Oil & filter is easy.

Pretty good, my KLR got 16km/l on my last tank and I never even went above 160kph indicated/around 145 actual

I usually get about 200km before it goes onto reserve which is about 11 litres so it works out to about 18km per litre. Most of my riding is around JHB then to Kyalami or Zwartkops so a mixtyre of urban anf highway .... but I take it quite easy.

If you push a KLE it sucks it dry very quickly.....

Ok just some fuel slips so you guys can see the milage I`m getting  :deal:

27/3/2010 : 77.8km + 4.730l fuel = 16.44km/l

28/3/2010 : 133.0km + 8.58l fuel = 15.50km/l

1/4/2010 : 241.9km + 12.040l Fuel = 20.09km/l

So this is starting to look interesting !

The fuel usage on the 28th was to Barkly and back at night so I took it easy and got 15.5 km/l while the 1/4/2010 was a trip to Maclear sitting at 130km/h and I got just over 20km/l ! To Maclear its relativly flat while to Barkly its up the mountains . . .

Will keep you all posted as the km roll by . . . . :mwink:

And yes I know I owe you all a ride report but that will come in good time ! :deal:
