    Streetpilot 2610

So far the best thing I have found is from Techmounts. Far less expensive than the TT stuf and multi-functional. I have a 2610 mounted using their system. https://techmounts.com/

    Thanks for the Primus tip...

    Extra Petrol

True. But I am working under the assumption that eventually I hit fuel and will want to top everything up. That failing, the MSR bottles make for a handy urn for your ashes.

    Extra Petrol

I am working on a bracket that will fit onto the rear luggage rack of my Husky and will hold two 33oz MSR fuel bottles. fuel is a challenge, to be sure. I don't like the idea of packing on my person or internally in panniers because leaks go unnoticed or can pool fluid.

Anyone with a KLR650 Doohicky in RSA?

Seek out some of the Doohickey threads on KLRforum.com. Also, most times, you can re-use the original gaskets.

Solid puncture proof inners for bike tyres?

I took the XT350 on a 45-mile enduro trail. Singletrack, palmetto stumps, cypress knobs, rough ground all around. The tireballs work great after you learn to find a median psi to ride with. Tireballs are inflated individually, then everything gets coated with silicone spray (you need to keep...

NAM NW Sector July 3-13 Leaving Windhoek or Walvis Bay

Whazzit? Nobody riding in July? This will be interesting if it turns out to be a solo trip. Appears departure will from Windhoek, as I am meeting a bike there now. Took the XT350 for a trial load run with 40lbs and full fuel. My riding partners were on two 950s...we rode very dry sandy...

    NW Nam--Which Bike in July

Won't know 'til tomorrow, but Peter Dickman in Windhoek may have something almost identical to the XT350. Thanks for the good thoughts our way.

    NW Nam--Which Bike in July

Update...hats off to those who saw this train coming...Shipping anything less than a full container to Walvis Bay is very impractical. Between shipping, customs on both sides, duty, registration, and insurance, when we were offered the eyes and ears of Windhoek Suzuki, we jumped at the chance to...

Solid puncture proof inners for bike tyres?

Look up Jeff at tireballs and ask him if they ship. I can bring a set over if you can meet me in Joburg airport 3 July.

I just bought a bike that has been fitted with a product called a tire ball. This might be of interest: www.tireballs.com

NAM NW Sector July 3-13 Leaving Windhoek or Walvis Bay

Looking to form up a group of at least four bikes leaving WH or WB. I am very active on www.advrider.com and some of you folks have been kind enough to extend very helpful introductions and bits of advice. So far, I am the only American shipping out. I speak limited German and passable...
