2001 R1150GS fuel lines connected wrong way round

Anyone have experience what to do when you have taken the tank off and connected the fuel lines wrong way round. Have tried starting the bike and has probably done more damage than good....
Any recommendations how to get the bike idlig right again? It started once but as soon as you leave the throttle, it dies again. I have checked the cables and they are not hooked out of the casings.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
