2004 BMW 1200 advice

[NO GOOD]

Somebody offered me his 1200 BMW 2004 model for R45k with 100 000 on the clock. Very need bike and is standing in his garage under a cover. I do remember long time ago a previous owner of BMW dealer in Waterfront (use to be there)told me the 2004 gave trouble and dont buy them.This specific bike's ABS is now bypassed due to some valve bank or something stopped working.
Any valuable advice from the doggies on the 2004 models? ....and then I love my Dakar too much. Nice daily commuter to Town and enough power.
