Advice Please

I'm new to DS touring having riden only MX and Enduro mostly, I want to purchase a bike but am not sure what to go for. My mates are on BMW's but they seem a little out of my price range. I did find a Honda Afrika Twin and would like some feed back as to its suitability for hard off road touring
