Many Moons ago I bought myself a 650 Dakar (2003 model) the steering bearings on this bike were replaced three times under warranty. At the end of the warranty period, (the bike had done about 70 000km) the front fork springs were replaced by a progressive spring set. – Würth.

Then I bought a LewensGevaarlik (2008 model). Within 40 000km the steering bearings had to be replaced – twice in effect. I then went and ‘druk my kredietkaart tot dit huil’ and modified the front suspension - Bitomo.

Next in line is the ‘PitBike’ – 690R (2010 model) so far so good

Since then I had no more steering bearing problems. Question is or rather my perception is that the front ends of the Bim bikes are a bit “soft”.  ?  For the PitBike it is still early days.
Here I must admit that a pothole to me is an obstacle to ride through or over not around it. Could be the reason for the severely dinged LG’s rims. Yep I still have all three bikes and all are in use.
