Anyone using personal GPS trackers when riding?

I have been contemplating using one of these tracking devices when out on rides, purely for safety reasons. Many times I ride alone while nobody knows where I am. The cellphone's batteries dont last long enough, thus not suitable for me.

Any dawgs using these types of personal GPS trackers? What are your experiences?
