Received a lovely letter from BMW Motor Cycle insurance yesterday telling me my premiums had gone up by 22%. Yep 22% to cover rising cost of spares and particularly the high cost of new parts.
No I have not claimed for any damage and no it is not the time for my annual increase as that is in 6 months time.
Yes I am over 50 and no I have never claimed. I have had a license for more than 20 years.
The bike premium is more than 50% higher than my Land Cruiser or Mercedes with similar values to the GSA and a third higher than my wife's Corolla valued at R115,000 and insured for "business use"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
