I'm an American, coming from Buenos Aires to Cape Town in the next week or so (after my bike is back together). I'm in need of some BMW parts for my 2005 650GSD. (fuel filter/regulator, maybe some spare fork seals, although these are Showa, same as Honda AT, spare clutch cable).

So, not being from "there", what's the situation in South Africa for obtaining parts for this bike?

Where's the best place to shop (as in, don't leave Cape Town without it, or common in every big city)?

How is pricing? first born, just an arm & a leg, or left nut. OK, here in South America, prices for BMW OEM stuff is about twice that as in the U.S., so are they reasonably priced, or do I need to sell some investments to pay for BMW parts.

If parts need to be ordered from the BMW distribution center (what? Germany?), about how long does it normally take?

That's it for now. If there's some guidance you could provide, I'd appreciate it.

Also, I'm looking for replacement armor for my BMW Ralley suit pants, if anyone knows about that.
