Buddy moving to Australia. Wants to take bike over there.

Hi again fellow WDs. A friend of mine is moving to Australia and wishes to take his bike over there. He has however heard that the prcess to get the bike legally registered and licensed. Is there somebody that can help or give advice on what to do... or is the best to sell your bike here and buy another there?
