I have a BMW 1200 GSA with 30,000 km on the clock, on starting the bike I hear a knocking (klangelang) noise on the left side of the engine. This lasts for a minute or two and is then gone.I did some internet searching and BMW tells me it is the Cam Chain tensioner that is creating the noise, but it is no problem according to them,,,,
I have a problem with it because when the bike was new it did not make the noise so why now,,,I am of the opinion to get BMW to fix the problem on their account,,30,000 km is nothing on a big engine like that,,any feedback will be welcomed on what to do, thanks
