The Ant (& misses The Ant) and I are leaving for a Cederberg round trip Saturday morning at 8h from the Caltex in Wellington road, Durbanville.
The plan is to travel via Bainskloof, Ceres, Opi-Berg to Oasis for brunch and some shade. From there via Dwarsrivier (weather prediction is HOT, so maybe cool off in the pools – or a wine tasting in the air conditioned Cederberg cellar),
Algeria back towards the N7 (perhaps stopping at Eendekuil to close off the day)
We are not hardcore off-road bikers; all the roads are either tar or the type of gravel you can take your sedan on without feel too sorry for the poor cage. The round trip is 450km, and depending on how long and how often you want to stop, we should be back mid/late afternoon.
This is a nice and easy ride for those who feel a bit green on the loose stuff, or wanting to take the SWAMBO to share the DS biking experience.
No official support vehicles will be going along, anyone is welcome to join/leave/stop and take photos as they feel comfortable.
We were planning to do this ride alone, but if anyone wants to join in the fun, you are more than welcome.
