I had a weird experience the weekend. Washed the bike on saturday and then went for a ride. About 30km further the speedo stopped working. I stopped, switched off the bike, restarted, the dials went up and down as normal but the speedo did not count or show the speed when I resumed the trip. About 50km further (according to GPS) the speedo suddenly started working again!
Now the question is whether the DL runs on a machanical or electrical speedo. If its machanical I most likely have either a gear thats on the way out or a cable of similar condition. If its electrical I most likely have to check the plugs etc for a dry connection somewhere...
