Howsit all you dirtriders ?
I am planning a end of year ride to the Waterberg for either the weekend of the 13th or the 20th of Dec.
The ride will commence on the Friday morning early and we will either sleep at Makekeng if it is available or at a mates farm in Marken on the Friday evening. Total km's around 300 to 350 for the day.
The Saturday will consist of a 300 to 400km dirtroute through the best roads the Waterberg can offer and we will sleep over at a farm in Thabazimbi or alternatively at Zinyala in the bushcamp.
Return home on dirt through Rust de Winter and Cullinan on the sunday - around 250km's
Total for the w/e - around 900 to 1000km's
What is required?
1 Own fuel
2 own booze and food
3 sparse travel clothing
4 A well maintained and trusty steed.
5 Own tools, tubes and an ability to change them
6 A sense of humour
7 drinking shoes
The ride will consist of 95% dirt.
Any big litre bikes are welcome.
An ability to handle your bike on dirt, in sand and through mud may be an advantage.
You will have to be proficient to maintain a relatively fast pace on dirt (between 90 and 130km/h)
We can accommodate a group of 6 or 8
