Garmin X series question

The new Garmin GPS's use SD memory cards for storage of maps and even track logs with the latest software. My question is this, if I had two of these units, could I view the same SD Card in each unit? Load my maps onto it on the one GPS and then later on swap the sd card into the spare unit?

I have a Quest and Foretrex so this is purely educational.
