Getting a 640 adventure a good idea???

Hi all

I’ve really thinking about getting a 640 adventure. I’ve seen a few up for sale and really like them.

I thought this would be the best place to ask 640 owners their opinions. I’ve heard mixed reviews from people saying it’s great and others saying stay far away.

• How reliable are they?
• What mileage can one expect to put on one?
• Is it true that the engines are prone to failure?
• Is it true that KTM has stopped manufacturing OEM parts for them?
• How is the second hand parts market locally? Can one get the major parts to keep them running for years to come
• What are things to look out for when testing riding one and what does one check for?

Sorry for all the questions but I figured this would be the best place to get a honest answer.
