What must be the optimum distance between the foot pegs and the handlebars? Is there a guideline as to what hight is the best for off-road riding?
I measured mine as exactly 1 meter between the top/middle of the foot peg to the bottom/middle part of my throttle. I am 1.87 meters tall, and sometime feel I would have liked the handlebars to be a little bit higher. It much easier to ride the bike with higher handlebars than lower ones, even on technical terrain the higher they are the easier it seems.
When looking at the Dakar bikes it seems the handlebars are much higher than normal, in relation to the footpegs.
