Help Needed, Battery Optimizer

[Usurper]

Got myself an Optimate 3+

Plugged it in... F@#$# Me!!! Lights Flashing! Charging! Testing! Monitoring! Cycle! Charge! Test!

All literature says "Plug it in and leave it" but it seems a bit intense.
Any one have any experience with these things, do you just leave it plugged in continuously? (Well until you ride that is)
