Intermittent starting

I recently  bought a 2012 BMW G650 Sertao with 24,500kms which is giving me a serious headache. Sometimes it starts instantly, other times it just does not want to know, especially when a few klics from home. Engine turns over but does not fire and battery soon runs flat.
Had battery tested...super strong.
Alternator is charging.
There is no unnatural battery drain in OFF position.
Starter was removed and cleaned...no problem there.
Removed all fuses except No.1- Engine electronics and No.4 &5-High/Low beam Headlight. Problem seemed to disappear. Replaced Fuse No.7 Rear & Park Lights ...No problem.
Replaced No.6 Instrument panel, turn indicators hazard warning flashers, brake light & optional accessories...... problem of "cranking but not firing" returned.
I read somewhere that this was a fault peculiar to the 650s where it was reported that the bike "just cut out."
Can anyone on the Forum please help me with this problem as I am dead scared to go anywhere with my "New bike." Rommel.
