So myself and Sparro went on a lekker trip to Swaziland for a few days and I arrived back home on Friday and parked the bike in the garage.
Yesterday morning I want to go for a ride and my battery is dead. I thought it very strange for the battery to go flat within only a day but I put it on charge anyway.
After an hour on charge the bike starts as usual and I go visit my mate Wingnut.
When I want to start it there after maybe 2 or 3 hours the battery is flat again.

Now when the ignition is off on a KLR there is nothing that still draws power from the battery. So my question is this:
a) Can a battery die so suddenly after not giving any hints that it's about to go? I must add that my bike started perfectly throughout our trip.
b) Can there be an electrical fault that draws power even with the ignition off?

And no, I did not forget the rear park light on, steering was unlocked all the time  ;)
