Something I picked up off the Family Adventures newsletter
Hi everyone – welcome back, we hope that you had a lekker rest over the festive season and we wish you all the best for the new year.
No excuses, dust them bikes off and get out on the trails. Dirtbikes, quads and side by sides all welcome!
The January issue of Dirt and Quad magazine starts hitting shelves today – go and get a copy, lots of interesting off road stuff for you to enjoy…
At the end of January, we are off to the Waterberg Mountains – always a fantastic ride, so if you are not doing anything, come and join the fun.
We have worked out a camping option for those who would prefer to camp, the booking forms are attached.
In Feb, we have a day ride planned in the JHB area, probably on Sunday the 14th, so watch this space for more details – its going to be huge fun.
At the end of Feb, the weekend of the 26th, we are hosting a ride in the Fouriesburg area – so no passports are needed. We are off to explore and do the recce today, so as soon as bookings open, we will send out the forms.
In March, we will be off to the Van Reenens area, always great – and this time in summer, so it will be fun. It is a beautiful area with lots of mountains and rivers for you to explore.
In April we will probably be visiting Swaziland, so get your passports in order…
And here is something new for the big trailie riders:
XT’s, KLR’s, GS’s, KTM Adventures, Pegasso’s etc etc etc.
As you may – or may not know, Family Adventures runs the annual JHB to Durban ride to raise funds for the Quadpara Association. Over the years, we have had various Ladies and Gents come along on their adventure bikes – and just about all of them have mentioned or suggested that we a similar trip just for Adventure bike riders.
So – we plan to run the ride on the weekend of the 2nd of April – let us know if you are keen and we will start the planning…
Our Tri Nations ride kicks off on Friday the 11th of June. We ride through SA, Swaziland, to the beach in Mozambique. Guys, this is an adventure of some note and numbers are limited. Book as soon as the forms go out or you might miss out. The 16th is a holiday, so this gives you some time to stay on in Moz and chill out – returning on the Wednesday…
Jhb to Durbs in the Dirt is scheduled to kick off on the 23rd of September.
This is a fund raising initiative for QASA – come and enjoy the fun…
And there are lots more trips and day events in the pipeline – we will keep you posted as we go along. We will keep you up to date as bookings open.
