Call it 10 days to departure and it looks like I might have to go to plan Z, and I AM NOT KEEN ! :xxbah: Checking the forecast it looks like rain on my planned route and this could be a very wet xmas . I am not scared of riding in the rain , but to get drenched to the bone is not pleasant , have done a wet ride home from Ramsgate , soaked all the way . So what does one do , ? I am keeping tabs on the weather , hoping it is going to clear . My bike is ready for the trip , I still have to check over the panniers , the nuts the hold the locks in , tend to rattle loose , so need to service that , pack and hit the road , but if the rain stays , I will swop panniers for duffel bags , strap in my fridge on the rear seat , bite the bullet and use my jeep . mite just be the choice with all the bad weather looming .
