my turn at the dark side

so the time has come for a toy - i can get a friend of mine's KTM 450 for 30k He's never dropped it and it has fairly low hours on (still the original front wheel - but prob 8 backs

Is this a good bike to go for and what should i look out for?  PS: i could not get anything comparable from the propeller that excited me
