Does anybody know how the penalty system on late registration - license in arrears work?
Scenario:
Buy a car as a project car - on the road and license up to date, but wont pass roadworthy (not running or other issue). Seller and buyer completes yellow form, seller hands in at his local traffic dept. Buyer now has 21 days to register and license, which he wont make and does not do.
Now a late registration penalty will come into play, and also later late license penalties. Are these once off penalties, or do they multiply over time (or per license year)?
So after three years, you might have: 1. Registration fee 2. Late registration penalty. 3. Three years license in arrears. 4. Overdue licensing penalties. ?
Anyone have better info?
