R1150GS battery advice

I am helping a friend. I have done the search and found a few threads about the battery for a 2003 model with ABS 1150 GS (not GSA). It still is not clear which battery actually fits without modifications to the terminal or the compartment. Also, which battery is best, or which ones to avoid. It seems as if the Yuasa YB18LA should work, but there is also mention of a Deltec 20 AH, as well as AGM batteries, Koyo KTZ195 and ULTRBATT.

I read that it is a bit difficult to install the battery and that the throttle positions needs to be re calibrated after installation.

I am now a bit confused, what battery will fit with no mods and will last for a good number years under normal use? Please help also with some instructions to complete the job DIY style.
