I think my regulator is frying my wires. It happened a few years ago. I went to Kawasaki who said that they did not have one, but will order from Japan - which is a load of bull, because the KLE takes the same as a range of the older Kawasaki's. Anyway I got one of a Z400 and it worked. Now I have the same problem, so I went through the same routine.
I then phoned Ryans Bikes in Parow who said he will sell me a new compatible. I asked if it will work, and they assure me it will because they are all the same.
atch:Well, it did not. I went back - got another and this also does not work. the bike does not even start!
Are regulators all the same?
PS. I am looking for a KLE regulator in the Cape Town Area.
