So I keep going bank to thinking about the X-challenge. I think it would be a great bike for my wants but seat height is a problem. I'm 1,68m. Now I've read all the threads here and on Advrider. It would seem the gas shock needs to be set correctly for rider weight to make it effective and cannot be used to lower the seat height. There is a lower seat available that would help.
My question is this. Looking at a friends Klr 650 today I noticed that it had a 21" front rim and a 17" rear rim. I have not noticed this on any other bike. Yet the Klr performs well in technical sections and is a great bike. So would it be possible to put a 17" rim on the X-challenge? lower seat height (and ground clearance, I know) by 25 mm. With the lower seat this would then make this bike a possibility.
