How important is it to check your valve clearance every 10 000km? Since my bike is no longer under warranty I’ve decided to become more actively involved in its life. Also to get to know the bike inside and out as I plan to use this for my future into the boendoes trips were I'll need to know how to fix my own bike. I’ve done the 50 000km service now, but didn’t check the valve clearance, simply because I don’t know how to (yet). So I am wondering how stupid it would be to leave this for the 60 000km service? Checking and adjusting this every 10 000km seems to be overdoing it a bit or am I going to make a big mistake here?
