Been feeling all caged up at work and at home recently so thought I would take my 20yr old Son for some "Dad & Lad" bonding time.
We have not done this before as he is reasonably new on his Dakar but I decided in for a penny in for a pound!
He stays with his Mom so I don't see him as often as I would like.
Called him yesterday not knowing what his response would be and if he can get off work.
The invite went something like...........Hi there my Boy, what you doing next week? Can you get off work?

I want us to go on a "bonding" ride together.
A "bonding" ride, where to? Saturday or Sunday?
Well it's 9 days.............9 days he exclaims?
Wow that's a cool bonding trip.
So I collect the new 1200 GSA from Atlantic Motorrad in CT later this week. We pack all our goodies of Friday night and leave Saturday morning returning the following Sunday.
I have worked a 4000km route (my new bike will have its first service in PE on Monday) with as much dirt as possible. The route is roughly as follows :
Oudtshoorn
Keurboomstrand
PE
Wild Coast - 2 nights
Maclear and all the passes in that area
Lady Grey
Willowmore
Home
Any suggestions for accommodation (value for money B&B possibly) in the Lady Grey / Sterkspruit area will be welcome!
