I have this 2000 YZ 125 that I would like to swop for a new project.
All the clutch plates replaced - friction and steels
Rebuilt the carb and did jetting
Replaced water pump seals
Serviced forks
New front rim laced
Mostly new plastics
Bought a new old stock Yamaha seat - has only about 10 min butt time
Imported a new IMS 11 liter tank
Flu Designs Graphics kit
Also extra gripper seat - doesn’t look that nice but works better than the OEM
Bike has apparently been ported by Mallatt racing at some point. It goes really well, but is a bit abrupt with the porting. But it runs with the new Huskies and KTMs
I’m about R26k into this project and I know that I will not recover that on a sale. I did come close just before lockdown but the 2 potentials were both affected by the economic impact.
I’m looking to swop for a beach buggy. I know a decent one is north of R35k but they are also difficult to change into cash. I’m looking for something with preferably a VW engine. It need not be road worthy, but it def needs up to date papers. I’m in the Northern Cape and ideally would like to do business within the province or an adjacent one to avoid too much crossing of borders.
