Lady Rat took her GS out for the first time since the 10k service more than a month ago.
She sez the gears make a load klunking sound when you engage them and aven when you change gears. It carries on, even if the bike is hot. What could it be? Could BMW have put the wrong oil in the engine?
I rode the bike from Groenie's place to VDB Park and then again from R/bay to Empangeni (to take it for service) and the gears were fine. Friend of LR that works at Emp BMW brought the bike back home on a bakkie, so today was the first time it was ridden since then. Also seems that the battey had gone south, but that's not a problem.
Thing is, I'm far away from home and cannot check it out myself and I would like to get some opinions before she phones Emp BMW on Monday to complain about it.
