While sitting overseas for 9 weeks at a time "the Beast" is safely wrapped up in the garage. When I left SA I also left the wifey with all the instructions on how to take care of the Beast while in hibernation. But did I leave the right instructions.....
I told her to start the bike once a week and showed her the correct procedures. Then to let it idle untill the temp reading is up to 4 bars (+- 3-5 mins). Switch off, cover back on and return the keys where you found them honey....
My reasoning is that it is probably better to run the engine for a few minutes a week then just to trickle charge the battery. That way all the seals and rings and stuff gets lubricated and the fuel is not lying in the carbs and hoses for 9weeks.
Any other instructions I should have included?? (Bearing in mind the wife is not technically inclined)
