Hi Dogs
I am planning a trip from Cape Town to Tanzania and looking at alternative transport to Namibia. I have done South Western Namibia with the bike 4 times already and want to cheat this time.
Is there a train from Cape Town to Namibia or even a ship I can put the bike on and cheat to either Windhoek, Luderitz or Walvis Bay? Obviously I want to travel on that same ship or train.
I know the RMS St Helena use to run from St Helena to Walvis Bay ,but I do not think it still runs.
Essentially I am heading for Rundu and would like to start the trip anywhere from Windhoek up North.
I know you can get the train to Jhb and then to Namibia, but then you obviously need to change trains in Jhb? From what I have heard it is quite a mission to get the bike on the train in Cape Town and in Jhb.
Any advice or info would be great.
Thanks
