About three weeks ago I found myself on the unlucky side of a weekend trip to do the Ben10.
This was what we planned to do: Ben10 September
Our plan was to trailer the bikes to Aliwal and leave the vehicles with friends of ours parents still living there.
The unfortunate mishap happened on our way to Aliwal on day 2 after leaving Britstown in the morning.
Long story short. About 30k before Venterstad on the R58, my bike fell off the trailer.
The outcome:
We used 4 rachet straps per bike and unfortunately mine ended up with two snapping (nothing wrong with straps before) and us dragging the bike until I managed to stop the vehicle.
Leason to myself: Buy the best straps money can buy.
Some might say we didn't tie it right, sure, but I had three engineers with me and can assure you that quality checks were in place.
