Hey Everyone
I have been riding my bike, knowing the driveshaft was worn and trying to avoid the reality that it needs to be replaced (or fixed).
This morning I was so lus to ride, I took the bike out. It seemed OK in the beginning but as I started to climb the Du Toit Kloof, she broke. Not completely, as there is still drive, but she is definitely broken.
I hear BMW wants R13k or thereabouts for a new one but I'm not prepared to spend that unless I have to.
I have heard the U-joint can be repaired, but I doubt that is still possible with mine. So that leaves me with buying a second hand unit. So far they don't seem to be lying thick on the ground.
Any advice on where to pick up a used unit? I will take one from anywhere in SA
