What oil for my Dakar?

Hi there

I have always used the oil the BMW dealer sells but they dont sell it anymore. Can I use any 10W40 oil?

Also other bike shops sell it for R140 a liter which is actually more expensive than the new technology oil the BMW dealer sells.

Can I buy from Midas any 10W40?
