My son was pulled off at a road block on the Rigel ave on ramp this morning.
The cops had a list of things they were checking, among them, number plates, license disks etc.
He had a piece of tape obscuring one of the letters on his plate, and the cop asked him
what that was for. Bit of a rhetorical question, but he told my son to remove the tape.
He then stated that rather take the entire plate off as that will only attract a fine, but
obscuring anything will get you a possible "defeating the ends of justice" charge which
is a lot more serious and expensive.
He let my son go with the paper he had made all the "checks" on.
Food for thought.
Would all cops have the same view ??
