Which bike for small kid( 4 years old)???

Want to get my son into biking. I believe the sooner the better and the correct way! Not like us 30 years ago with plakkies and without helmet on the farm playing chicken with the biggest cows!
I have already bought him propper protection gear, kit, boots. Now the bike. What should be a good starter bike? He is almost 4 years old.( please no replies from moms and mother-in-laws telling me he is to small!)
