I am Andy. I live in Bristol, UK and have a twin brother living in Wellington in the Western Cape.
I have a sabbatical June to September this year and am using it to ride from Wellington to Cairo. A 2014 KLR650 is waiting for me.
My route is largely sorted but I am now trying to sort my South Africa route. The word on the 'net is that you guys know stuff so I am hoping you can he me out with a potential route.
In the UK I ride an XT1200z, mostly touring Europe on tar (generally heading for the mountains) and do a bit of trials riding on a 1978 TY250.
I'll ask my questions in a separate thread in the route planning section. Maybe even get to meet some of you on the road - you can tell me all about your braai techniques and wood and I'll pretend not to have a gas braai back home ;-)
