Hey guys. well I have been struggling all damn day. I need to replace the outer CV boot on my golf 3.
I got the disk etc off, as well as the old CV boot but in order to get the new one on I have to take off the outer CV???
Not sure about that, everywhere I have read they say you simply tap off the outer CV... I am not sure where to tap? and I have tapped and it does not move!
So next I thought, lets take off the iner CV joint so I have some room to play.Shortly after I stripped one of the allan key bolts... so no go there.. Then I drilled it.... 4 points later still cant get it out.
Is it really just possible to tap off the CV joint? Is there not some Cyrclip or something that's stopping me?
