How long after registration should you do the disc and roadworthy

I bought a bike that the licence disk expires in 2013.  BMW did the registration papers, the bike is registered in my name and the registration show the Freestate number plate.

Does anybody know if I can ride the bike with the current disc and registration until 2013 or should I do the disc and roadworthy within a specified time frame?
