Ok so the manual says its due at 20k km (I think).

The yanks seem to think that 9 out of 10 KLRs need a valve check as it comes out of the box/crate.

Mine doesn't suffer from any of the symptoms of tight valves (hard cold starting), its not heavy on fuel and it pulls well.

Should I just do it now or wait until 20k km?

Also, I was going to replace the doo and spring in December but decided to wait until the warranty runs out in June. Don't want KawaSA to have any reason to refuse a warranty claim should something go wrong down the line.
