Hi chaps, ek het lanklaas n ride gedoen weens n skouer operasie so ek is terug en lus vir mede honde om saam te ry. Ek hoop daar is manne en vroue wat lus is vir n stukkie stof op skop.
Ons vertrek 08:00 van Paterson petrol garage in die rigting van Alicedale links deur na Kommedagga stasie. Van daar na Reddingshoop ( Twe twe / Janita ) vir n breaky of brunch wat bestaan uit eiers, plaas wors, roosterkoek, konfyt, botter, kaas en koffie (boeretroos) vir R60.
Van Twe twe kan ons kyk hoelaat ons weg kom om aan te beweeg op die R335 tot op Somerset Oos vir n koffie en dan net buite op die Pearston pad links in die rigting van Darlington dam vir n worsbraai onder damwal. Na n braai of net n smoke brake kan ons ry tot op Greyton en op teerpad klim R76 of oor Koffylaagte tot by Glenconner, tyd is maar die beperkende faktor so ook indien mens bietjie moeg raak vir grond.
Die round trippy is om en by +-400km waarvan +-170km teerpad sal wees.
Hoop om iemand te sien en weer lekker te gesels na n lang afwesigheid.
Seeing as there will be some newbies on the ride and to refresh for the rest, some rules :
1. Always look out for the rider behind you and make sure he follows you at turn-offs. If you don't see him, stop and wait and/or go back and look for him. Everyone will thus start falling back.
2. Don't bunch up. Allow a safe space between riders. If there are obstacles, wait for the rider in front to get safely through. Once you're through, wait for the rider behind you to get through.
3. We do NOT pass each other on gravel. If there is a need to pass, make sure the rider in front is aware of your intensions
4. There will be a designated sweeper. Everyone stays in front of him.
5. Everyone is there to enjoy a safe ride. Don't be a show-off or hero. You're the only one that thinks you're funny. The rest of us think you ride like an ass-hole and won't welcome you on the next ride.
