In need of a plan C advice, on all of our trips it 2 of us on the bike with at least a top box . I am happy when I only have to take the top box for a weekend trip , but in some occasions a bit of extra space could come in handy . I have the original KTM top box and panniers on my 1190 . Between the 2 of us we pack it full ,madam a bit more stuff than me . On our next planned trip we only want to take the top box and we are leaving early morning . This means some warm base layers . maybe during the morning it warms up to remove the base layer ,and on the trip home , we are going to need place to put this extra couple of pieces , what to do?
Only option I can think of is to put a bag on top of the top box and strap it down . Advisable or not ? What to do ? I am a bit concerned that the bag on the box can come off and get lost , another problem is a strap getting caught on the spokes.
any suggestion would be welcome . like to try it out
