Reading planned rides and routes around Cape Town, there is an abundance of them planned for bigger bikes, involving long gravel highways and tar, where a bike needs to be comfortable at 160 all day..
I am trying to get an idea of routes that can be ridden with lighter bikes. 250's, 400's etc. Not necessarily massive technical routes but routes that novices and riders not wanting to race one another can ride and also get an opportunity to see places apart from the closed circuit routes that the majority ride.
An example. A ride to Oasis covering some gravel highways, as well as some off the beaten track trails. Is it possible..?
So my questions are:
Are there trails around the Cape that we are allowed to ride with Offroad bikes?
Would there be a support for this kind of riding among the masses?
